Christopher Overton is an NFLPA-certified sports agent and the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Believe Sports Group, a full-service athlete representation firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Certified as an NFLPA contract advisor in 2021, he established the agency with a mission of providing individualized representation focused on contract negotiations, career management, marketing, and long-term athlete development. Through Believe Sports Group, he has built a client-centered practice that emphasizes accessibility, education, and personal relationships throughout every stage of an athlete's professional career. Before entering the sports representation industry, Overton was a Division I football player who competed at both Kent State University and Indiana State University. His playing career gave him firsthand experience with the challenges athletes face, including injuries and the transition away from competition. While still in college, he became interested in the business side of professional sports after observing the player-agent relationship and recognizing opportunities to provide a more personalized approach to athlete representation. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from John Carroll University before founding Believe Sports Group. As CEO of Believe Sports Group, Overton oversees all aspects of player representation, including NFL contract negotiations, draft preparation, endorsement opportunities, branding, and career planning. His philosophy centers on building trust with athletes and their families while helping clients maximize their opportunities on and off the field. The agency also provides guidance in areas such as financial education, personal branding, and long-term professional development, reflecting Overton's belief that representation should extend well beyond negotiating contracts.
