David W. Jones is an NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Certified Contract Advisor, attorney, and co-founder of VIP Sports Management, a full-service sports agency based in Detroit, Michigan. Since becoming NFLPA certified in 2014, he has represented professional football players in contract negotiations, draft preparation, endorsements, marketing, and long-term career management. Through VIP Sports Management, Jones has helped build a client-focused agency dedicated to providing comprehensive representation both on and off the field. Jones earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Corporate Finance from Wayne State University before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He has practiced law for more than two decades, serving as a prosecutor, Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan, and legal counsel for municipalities, commercial organizations, and private clients. Throughout his legal career, he has developed extensive experience in litigation, contract law, labor negotiations, commercial transactions, and dispute resolution, skills that have translated directly into his work as a sports agent.
