Biography

Eddie Edwards is an NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Certified Contract Advisor, attorney, and co-owner of LA Sports Group, where he has represented professional football players for more than two decades. Certified by the NFLPA in 2003, Edwards has built a career centered on contract negotiations, athlete advocacy, marketing, and long-term career management. His representation philosophy combines legal expertise with a personalized approach, helping athletes navigate both the business and legal aspects of professional football. Edwards earned his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University before receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Prior to entering the sports representation industry, he served as Vice President of WPTT, Inc. and Glencairn, Ltd., the holding company for eight television stations across major U.S. markets. This executive experience provided him with extensive exposure to complex business operations and contract negotiations, laying the foundation for his later work in sports and entertainment law. He began his career as an NFL agent in 2004 when he represented punter Andy Lee during the NFL Draft. Lee went on to enjoy a distinguished career that included multiple Pro Bowl selections, and Edwards subsequently represented several other accomplished NFL players, including Pro Bowlers Pat McAfee and Eddie Drummond. Alongside his work in professional football, Edwards has practiced corporate, sports, and entertainment law, advising athletes, entertainers, and high-profile clients on a wide range of legal and business matters.
