There, he gained experience in the music business through work with record labels in artist relations, contracts, and radio promotion before launching his own management company and record label, LOL Records. Lake transitioned into sports representation in 2004 with Built Entertainment Group, where he specialized in player contracts, endorsements, recruiting, and athlete management. Over the years, he developed expertise representing both football and hockey players while building relationships throughout the professional sports industry. In 2020, he joined Dynamic Sports Group alongside fellow agent Joe Sofio to expand the agency's hockey division while continuing his work as an NFL and CFL contract advisor.
