Biography

Jamaal Robinson is an NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Certified Contract Advisor and the founder of J.R. Sports Management, where he represents professional football players in contract negotiations, career planning, and off-field business opportunities. An attorney by training, Robinson has built his career around combining legal expertise with athlete advocacy, providing clients with personalized representation focused on both their immediate playing careers and their long-term professional success. His approach emphasizes trust, accessibility, and individualized attention throughout every stage of an athlete's career. Robinson earned his undergraduate degree from Union College, where he was a student-athlete, before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law. While attending law school, he worked with the Florida State men's basketball program as an intern assisting the director of operations, an experience that strengthened his interest in sports representation and allowed him to develop relationships within collegiate athletics. After graduating, he practiced law with a West Palm Beach, Florida, law firm specializing in workers' compensation, employment law, and personal injury before transitioning into athlete representation. Robinson became NFLPA certified in 2005 and initially co-founded Empire Sports Agency, where he represented NFL players including Josh Beekman and Marc Hickok. His work extended beyond negotiating player contracts to securing endorsement opportunities, arranging public appearances, and assisting clients with charitable initiatives and long-term career planning. These early experiences helped establish his reputation as a hands-on agent committed to providing comprehensive support rather than focusing solely on contract negotiations.
