John Caplin is an NFLPA-certified Contract Advisor and sports agent with CAA Football, the football division of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of the world's leading sports and entertainment agencies. According to the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), Caplin has been certified as a Contract Advisor since 2003 and has spent more than two decades representing professional football players in contract negotiations and career management. He is based in Los Angeles, California, and is part of CAA's extensive football representation practice. Prior to becoming a sports agent, Caplin built a successful career as an attorney. He earned his undergraduate degree from University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor from University of Southern California Gould School of Law. His legal training provided a strong foundation for his work in contract negotiations, athlete advocacy, and sports business matters. At CAA Football, Caplin works with NFL players on a wide range of professional matters, including contract negotiations, free agency strategy, career planning, endorsements, and long-term business opportunities. CAA's football division represents many of the NFL's top athletes, coaches, and executives, and Caplin has been part of the agency's player representation efforts for many years.
