John “JR” Rickert is an NFLPA-certified contract advisor, sports agent, and founder of JR Sports Enterprises, while also serving as a senior representative with Authentic Athletix. Certified by the NFL Players Association since 2003, Rickert has spent more than two decades representing professional football players and negotiating NFL contracts. He earned degrees from St. John Fisher College and The College of Saint Rose, and built a unique career that combined leadership in education with athlete representation. Over the course of his sports representation career, Rickert has worked with numerous NFL players, including Hakeem Nicks, Joshua Cribbs, Dion Lewis, Lorenzo Alexander, Artis Hicks, and Mike Patterson. He first entered the agent business in the early 2000s and later founded National Sports Management before joining forces with Peter Schaffer at Authentic Athletix. Throughout his career, he has negotiated hundreds of millions of dollars in professional sports contracts and has represented athletes across football, baseball, boxing, and other sports. As a representative of Authentic Athletix, Rickert provides athletes with comprehensive services that extend beyond contract negotiations to include career management, marketing opportunities, public relations, and post-career planning.
