Biography
Joseph Frio is an NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Certified Contract Advisor and sports agent with Process Sports Management, where he serves as founder and principal agent. Based in Pennsylvania, he represents athletes across football and other sports, focusing on contract negotiation, NIL representation, and long-term career planning. His practice is built around a hybrid model that combines legal expertise, coaching experience, and sports business education to provide athletes with comprehensive representation throughout their careers.
Frio is also a licensed Pennsylvania attorney, which allows him to personally review and structure contracts for his clients while ensuring full legal compliance and protection. In addition to his legal practice, he serves as a football coach at Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia and as a Sports Law Professor at La Salle University, where he teaches NIL law and related sports business topics. This combination of legal, coaching, and academic experience shapes his approach to athlete representation and development.
Before founding Process Sports Management, Frio worked alongside experienced NFL agents Hadley Engelhard and James Ulrich from 2016 to 2023, gaining hands-on experience in NFL contract negotiation and marketing representation for professional athletes. His background also includes legal practice focused on business structuring and liability protection, which he integrates into his athlete advisory services.
