Kurt Overhardt is a veteran NHL player agent, attorney and Executive Vice President in THE·TEAM’s hockey division. He is best known as the founder and longtime leader of KO Sports, a Denver-based boutique hockey agency that became one of the most respected independent representation firms in hockey. Founded in 1992, KO Sports built its reputation around high-level player advocacy, contract negotiation and long-term career management for NHL players across North America and Europe. In 2025, KO Sports joined THE·TEAM Hockey, with Overhardt becoming an Executive Vice President and bringing the firm’s client roster and staff into one of the sport’s leading global hockey representation platforms. Overhardt’s client history has included prominent NHL players such as Andrew Copp, Mattias Ekholm, Joel Farabee, Cutter Gauthier, John Gibson, Filip Gustavsson, Nick Schmaltz, Jaccob Slavin, Troy Terry, Jacob Trouba and Ryan Johansen. His work has spanned entry-level deals, major veteran contracts, free agency strategy, arbitration, endorsements and broader player development. Known for a direct, experienced and player-focused approach, Overhardt has remained a significant figure in NHL representation for more than three decades.
