Kyle McCarthy is an NFLPA-certified sports agent and Director of Football at Athletes First, one of the premier football representation agencies in the NFL. Based in Laguna Hills, California, he represents both NFL players and coaches, overseeing contract negotiations, career strategy, and football operations while helping guide one of the industry's largest and most successful football divisions. Before becoming an agent, McCarthy was an accomplished football player. A standout at Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio, he went on to play safety at the University of Notre Dame, where he served as team captain and earned recognition for his leadership and defensive play. Following his collegiate career, he signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and later spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders, gaining firsthand experience as an NFL player. McCarthy joined Athletes First in 2015 and became an NFLPA-certified contract advisor in 2016. His experience as both a collegiate standout and professional player has shaped his approach to athlete representation, allowing him to advise clients from a player's perspective while navigating the business aspects of professional football.
