Leon Yard

Leon “Lee” Yard is an NFLPA-certified Contract Advisor and Director of Football Operations at Maverick Sports Group, a full-service athlete representation firm specializing in NFL player contracts, NIL opportunities, athlete branding, and long-term career development. Based in Greer, South Carolina, Yard has been certified by the NFL Players Association since 2021 and is authorized to represent professional football players in negotiations with NFL clubs. NFLPA records indicate that he has negotiated active NFL player contracts and serves as a certified representative within Maverick Sports Group. Yard brings a unique blend of business leadership, operational expertise, and athlete development experience to sports representation. A former three-sport athlete, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina–Aiken. Prior to entering the sports industry, he built a successful career in site development and business operations, where he secured multi-million-dollar contracts and became one of the youngest division leaders in his field. Before joining Maverick Sports Group's football division, Yard served as Director of Operations for Turf Kings, a rapidly growing youth sports organization affiliated with the Maverick network. His experience in athlete development, operations management, and talent mentorship helped position him for a transition into professional athlete representation
