Marcus has been an Of Counsel member of Walton + Brown since 2017. Marcus is a graduate of Hampton University, The Ohio State University, and Capital University Law School. Marcus previously served as an Assistant City Prosecutor for the criminal division of the City Attorney’s office where he handled numerous jury trials and bench trials. He has handled misdemeanor and felony criminal matters throughout the state of Ohio. Marcus has been licensed as a member of the state of Ohio bar since 1997. He was also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 2004, the Northern District in 2006, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 2015. In addition to serving as Of Counsel with Walton + Brown, LLP, Marcus is the owner of Marcus A. Ross, Attorney at Law Co., LPA, a full-service law firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. His primary areas of practice include, but are not limited to: criminal, traffic and DUI defense, landlord-tenant, collections and small business and general civil litigation.
