Noel LaMontagne is an NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Certified Contract Advisor and co-founder of Compass Sports Advisors, LLC, where he represents professional football players in contract negotiations, career management, marketing opportunities, and long-term financial planning. Certified as an NFL contract advisor since 2004, he transitioned into athlete representation after his own playing career, bringing firsthand experience and an athlete's perspective to the business of professional football. His work focuses on helping players navigate every stage of their NFL careers while providing personalized guidance both on and off the field. A native of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, LaMontagne attended Southern Lehigh High School before earning a football scholarship to the University of Virginia. During his collegiate career, he became one of the nation's top offensive linemen, earning First-Team All-American honors and multiple First-Team All-ACC selections. Following college, he signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2000 and appeared in regular-season games before knee injuries ultimately brought his playing career to an early end. After retiring from professional football, LaMontagne entered the sports representation industry, motivated by a desire to help athletes realize their professional aspirations while avoiding many of the challenges he experienced as a player. He co-founded Compass Sports Advisors alongside Richard Rosa, creating a boutique agency dedicated to individualized representation. The firm provides comprehensive services that include contract negotiations, endorsement and marketing opportunities, financial planning coordination, and long-term career strategy, emphasizing personal relationships and trusted advice rather than a high-volume client model.
