Rodney Edwards is an NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Certified Contract Advisor and the founder of Innovation Sports Management, a Mississippi-based sports representation firm dedicated to serving professional football players. Certified by the NFLPA since 2002, Edwards has more than two decades of experience representing NFL athletes through contract negotiations, career planning, endorsement opportunities, and long-term professional development. His practice is built on providing individualized representation while helping athletes navigate both the business and personal aspects of their professional careers. A graduate of Mississippi Valley State University, Edwards has developed Innovation Sports Management into a boutique agency focused on personalized client service. In addition to negotiating NFL contracts, he provides guidance in areas such as marketing, public relations, post-career planning, career counseling, and financial and tax advisory referrals. His comprehensive approach reflects a commitment to supporting athletes throughout every stage of their careers, both on and off the field. Throughout his career, Edwards has represented a number of NFL players across multiple positions, including veterans and emerging talent. His client roster has included players such as Denico Autry, Preston Smith, J.T. Gray, Mario Edwards Jr., Nathaniel Watson, Chris Blair, Robert Beal Jr., and Jaden Crumedy. His experience working with both established professionals and incoming NFL talent has enabled him to build lasting relationships while helping players maximize their opportunities at the professional level.
