Biography
W. Jerome Stanley is an NFLPA-certified contract advisor, attorney, and founder of SAFE Sports, a sports representation and athlete management firm based in California. Certified by the NFL Players Association since 1988, Stanley has more than three decades of experience representing professional football players and advising athletes on contract negotiations, endorsements, marketing opportunities, legal matters, financial planning coordination, and post-career development. NFLPA records list him as one of the longest-tenured active agents in professional football.
A graduate of the University of Southern California (USC), where he earned both his undergraduate degree in Business Finance and his Juris Doctor, Stanley built a career that spans sports law, athlete representation, and player advocacy. In addition to his NFLPA certification, he has also been certified as an agent by the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), reflecting his broad experience in professional sports representation. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as a veteran figure within the agent community and has represented athletes across multiple sports.
Beyond his work with SAFE Sports, Stanley has played an active role within the player-agent community.
