David Mulugheta is a highly influential American football agent and the President of Team Sports at the major agency Athletes First, headquartered in Laguna Hills, California. Born in Dallas, Texas, to Eritrean immigrant parents, he grew up in a hardworking household and initially pursued law before transitioning into sports representation. Mulugheta began his career at Athletes First as an intern in 2010 and became certified as an NFL Players Association contract advisor in 2012. Over the years, he has built a powerhouse client roster, negotiating some of the richest and most prominent contracts in the NFL and becoming one of the most respected agents in the sport. By 2024 he became the first agent in league history to negotiate over $1 billion in player contracts in a single year.
