Biography
Ian Pulver is an NHLPA-certified player agent and the founder of The Will Sports Group, a hockey representation firm he established in 2006 after a distinguished career in labor law and player advocacy. Pulver holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia. Before founding his agency, he spent 15 years with the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), where he played a pivotal role in negotiating multiple NHL Collective Bargaining Agreements and provided expert guidance on salary arbitration, contract negotiation, and player rights.
Under Pulver’s leadership, The Will Sports Group has become a respected presence in hockey representation, advising a broad roster of professional players, including Tyler Seguin, David Savard, Thomas Chabot, and Miro Heiskanen, among others. He is recognized for his deep industry expertise, relationship-driven representation, and commitment to personalized client service, helping athletes and their families navigate the business side of professional hockey from entry-level development to long-term career planning.
