Biography
Jeff Schwartz (born February 24, 1964) is the founder and CEO of Excel Sports Management, one of the most influential sports agencies in the world, particularly in NBA player representation. Based in New York, Schwartz earned a B.A. from Miami University and a Juris Doctor from Temple University Law School before entering sports management. He began his career in the early 1990s at IMG, representing top tennis athletes before pivoting fully to basketball. In 2002 he founded Excel Sports Management, focused initially on NBA players and growing it into a powerhouse that negotiates elite player contracts and global endorsement deals. Over his career, Schwartz has negotiated billions of dollars in NBA contracts and is consistently ranked among the most powerful and highest-earning agents in the sport, representing multiple MVPs, All-Stars, and top-tier prospects.
