Leigh Steinberg is an NFLPA-certified agent, founder of Steinberg Sports & Entertainment, best-selling author and one of the most recognizable sports agents in history. A Los Angeles native, Steinberg earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from UC Berkeley, where he served as student body president during both periods. He went on to build a landmark career in athlete representation, becoming known for record-setting NFL contracts, elite quarterback representation and a client-first philosophy centered on negotiation, philanthropy and long-term personal development. Across more than four decades in sports business, Steinberg has represented more than 300 professional athletes and coaches across football, baseball, basketball, boxing, Olympic sports and other fields. His client history includes major names such as Troy Aikman, Steve Young, Patrick Mahomes, Oscar De La Hoya and Lennox Lewis. He has represented a record eight No. 1 overall NFL Draft picks and more than 60 first-round selections, while helping secure billions of dollars in contracts for clients. Steinberg is also widely credited as an inspiration for the film Jerry Maguire and has served as a consultant on sports entertainment projects including Any Given Sunday, For Love of the Game and Arliss.
